Cornerstone of higher education in Bolivia.
Stands for its academic reputation, it is known for its strong faculties in sciences, engineering, economics, social sciences and law. Its research output is considerable, always with a focus on issues relevant to Bolivia’s development. The campus facilities are not as modern or well-maintained as those in some private universities. UMSA’s libraries, laboratories and research centers may need more technological upgrades. The student population is diverse, giving an opportunity to anyone who would like to grow academically. UMSA has also a growing number of international partnerships and exchanges meaning a great opportunity for its students.
