Student review [#88711] for Pharmacy

Most of the professors are researchers and don’t have formal teaching experience, resulting in classes that are not very engaging. Since most classes fast-paced and last at least 2 hours (with a 10 minute break in between), it’s easy to lose focus and become unmotivated. I would mainly recommend this university for students coming from a Belgian/French system because, as a student coming from an international school who had French as their 3rd language, it was extremely difficult to make friends. The social-culture is very “Belgian” and will easily make you feel as an outlier if you don’t come from a Belgian/French school.

In addition, the professors offer very little resources for students to practice independently and don’t offer any past exams models to practice either. This often results in you arriving into an exam with little idea of the difficulty of the questions. I found myself also having to teach the material myself because of the poor teaching quality (from a great majority, with some exceptions).

On a positive note, students have a lot of opportunities for financial support such as having 2€ hot lunches (that are filling, nutritious, and delicious). They have halal, vegan and vegetarian options and a café that sells a great variety of beverages/snacks.
