Currently I am a 2nd year student at the Digital Design and Development Program. It is challenging, but in a good way because it pushes you to grow both technically and creatively. The eduction is quite practically-oriented. You also get to work on real projects that simulate professional situations, which helps you understand what working in the digital industry is actually like.
The classes are well-structured and cover a wide range of skills, from design and front-end development to UX/UI, etc. The lecturers give concrete feedback and take the time to help you improve at consults. The workload can be intense at times but at the end results are always very rewarding and worth it.
I would recommend DEVINE to students who are passionate about digital design and development and want a program that prepares them well for a career in the field.
I’m about to finish my bachelor in Howest, and looking back at the 3 years spent studying here, I can definitely say that the education offered here is very professional and up to date. I would have never expected that in only few years I would be able to learn coding and making good digital products at such a high level as I am doing now. The studies were very intensive, and I see that a lot of people extend their education to 4 years (that’s also a bit of a warning for those who expect to definitely study only 3 years). I have not much bad things to say, except how sometimes we – Digital Design and Development students – feel a bit left out from Howest, because we’re not located in the Howest area, and in order to get the same opportunities as our other peers, have we have to travel to the main campus (Penta). Other than that, I’ve met so many new people from different parts of the world, so many memories. I recommend 😉
