at Qafqaz University - QU

Qafqaz University is one of the best universities in Azerbaijan in an academic ranking. During 4 four years I have been taught 13 branches of chemistry which I was not expected as my department was Chemistry Education. In my opinion in Chemistry Education department lessons were supposed to concentrate in Education part rather than Chemistry.
At the university, I have had laboratory lessons from General, Analytical,
Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. Lessons for each of them lasted two semesters. Our laboratory
activities included measuring, recording, analyzing of results, constructing, maintaining, and operating standard
laboratory equipment. I worked with centrifuges, titrations, pipetting machines, spectrophotometers, NMRs and pH
meters. All our laboratory lessons as well as lectures were held in English.
Besides, at university there are plenty of clubs that you can spend your free time, be social and ect.
The only thing I would like to change at Qafqaz university was to remove the exams and attract students to the research jobs as by doing research students are able to learn effectively rather than memorizing.
