To study at North-West University’s Potchefstroom campus has been an enlightening and empowering experience, especially as I pursue my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. This journey has not just been about academics but a profound exploration of our relationship with the environment and the responsibility we bear as stewards of the Earth.

NWU’s Potchefstroom campus offers a comprehensive Environmental Science program that delves deep into the interdisciplinary nature of environmental issues. The curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum, from ecology and conservation to environmental management and sustainability. The faculty’s expertise and passion for environmental sciences have been instrumental in shaping my understanding of the complexities within this field.

One of the remarkable aspects of studying Environmental Science at NWU is the practical approach to learning. Fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and research projects have provided hands-on experience crucial for understanding environmental processes and conservation practices. As I approach graduation in 2024, I am grateful for the knowledge and experiences gained at North-West University in Potchefstroom. The BSc in Environmental Science has not only equipped me with a strong scientific foundation but has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the environment and a commitment to making a positive impact in the field of environmental conservation.
