The level of studies is very good and advanced but the infrastructure, the food and the financial / psychological help to the students are insufficient. There are many student organizations that can not organize events, seminars and programs due to lack of assistance (financial and material). The lesson is as you expect when you know the situation that prevails in Greece. I would recommend it to people who have some financial help and do not need support from the state.

I graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering. The program, and its curriculum may at first seem intimidating. But by the time you graduate you find yourself prepared for the majority of the fields that a Chemical Engineer may be interested in. Through demanding courses and lab work in the end you are trained well enough, to meet the expectations and the needs of the ”real” world. On the other hand, it needs to broaden more the curriculum, to become more interdisciplinary, as the profession of a Chemical Engineer. Ι would also like to see more practical training and not only focusing on theory. Overall I think that this Department, through its program and faculty, is determined to equip you with the necessary tools to ensure the very best in your next step.
My opinion concerns the chemical engineering department of this university.
The undergraduate programme I attended was an integrated master’s module with a lot of classes and a lot of chances for improvement. Even though the basis of engineering and transport phenomena were theoretically covered to an excellent degree, the modules would definitely benefit from additional design projects. The fundamental understanding would be complemented nicely by manufacturing and problem-solving projects. Instead, the classes required a lot of learning by heart and the exam itself focused on that as well. Overall, the extracurricular activities offered were nonexistent at the time I was there, and the university could benefit from the creation of societies, funded by the university budget, e.g. modern dance classes.
