The first semesters at HCU started pretty well and entertaining. Studying and working together with a lot of different people was fulfilling. The workspaces for students were quite decent and good enough to have a great time together. The current situation due to COVID has changed the spirit of the university. It doesn’t feel like a place to feel comfortable. The university is engaged to offer online courses, which are good for some students but I need a professor to talk to in real life, I need other students to debate with. Hope this will change soon.
View moreI started my studies in the winter semester of 2019, at that time I was still able to study normally for one semester at the university. The university is in a great location and offers just the right learning atmosphere that any student would want. Unfortunately, this only lasted for one semester, because Corona has fundamentally changed studying at the HCU. Unfortunately, that’s where my criticism begins. Both the university management and the professors were clearly overwhelmed with this new situation. Exam phases were canceled or completely postponed because the HCU refused to offer online exams. In my opinion, very negligent in such times. In addition, the HCU has never offered two dates for exams, which is why students were forced to write failed or postponed exams a whole semester later, which increases the pressure and thus the stress enormously. In my opinion, one cannot ask a student to pass 4-8 exams if 3 exams are written in 5 days. There must be alternative appointments to relieve the students a little. I still haven’t gotten used to studying online and I can only hope that the pandemic will be over sometime before my bachelor’s degree and that you can then study normally again. That’s why I can only recommend the HCU for a face-to-face study!
