As an international student. York University is definitely one of the best universities to attend. There is affordable housing, and its location gives you a sense of community, which is then improved even more by the strong club culture that Schulich fosters.
Personally, I truly believe you get as much as you give. Schulich is filled with opportunities and you meet all kinds of individuals from commuters who just come to classes and leave to people who are deeply involved in the community and basically stay at Schulich 24/7. I would say I am closer to the second one.
During my time here, I’ve had the chance to compete in 10 case competitions, win prizes, and become an executive in our Undergraduate Business Society and the York Marketing Association. Schulich also provides you with a strong reputation that will go with you wherever you go.
After experiencing my first year, I can confidently say that even if I had the chance to change my mind, I would do it all over again.
I did a BBA program from York University, Canada where I the mode of my course was 100% online.
No doubt, the teachers and the experiences of learning with students from across the world were confidence boosting.
At the business school, much cleaner and nicer than the rest of the campus – the degree can help you get a proper career after university and the faculty is more helpful. Would recommend this program.
View moreSchulich is highly segregated from the rest of York University, so this review is catered toward this specific program. From an academic standpoint, this is a great program; Schulich offers a wide variety of courses across countless fields of business, including areas that are not viewed as “standard business fields.” Most of the professors/instructors are amazing and deeply care about their student’s success, both in school and in the professional field and are always willing to lend a helping hand. There are many opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular, with the countless clubs offered by the school. Schulich also has an extensive network of alumni at some of the most prestigious organizations in the world, allowing students to form very important contacts and relationships that will last into the future. However, I have noticed an imbalance in class deliverables – the first half of the semester will be very light, with most courses having little-no deliverables; then all of a sudden, every single class will pile on multiple deliverables due at the same time, making it very stressful for students.
View moreA well rounded school that provides great opportunities. With a small acceptance rate it allows for smaller classes sizes that make you feel more in touch with the teachers. An issues I find personally is the hight prices in regrades to tuition and living on residence causing me yo have to commute.
