My experience at the Hampton was like no other in my life. When I first visited the campus, I fell in love with the campus and the landscape by the sea. When I arrived on campus, I was able to make lifelong connections and valuable relationships that not only improve my future but carry me into my future endeavors.
View moreMy major is Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I did not start taking in depth classes until Spring semester of my first year. Hampton has a Career Fair every semester. Being that my major is very specific, I was surprised that there was one table specifically for CSD majors. The other booths were geared towards marketing majors/communication majors ( Scripps Howard major) Some days I feel the Scripps Howard majors have it better when it comes to internships and connections, but hey may be the same at any school. In general those types of majors get more play than lesser known majors. I enjoy my major very much, and am excited to go more in depth into my field. This upcoming semester I will be taking a physiology class and spring semester I have to take sign language as well as a foreign language. Somewhere in-between I will also take a statistics course, under Psychology.
