A really good university

After studying for 5 years at the University of Glasgow it is clear to me that it is certainly one of the best universities in the world. The university campus is already amazing and is constantly improving.
I have been under the “umbrella” of both the School of Engineering and the Business School and I must say that they both have pros and cons.
The School of Engineering is certainly demanding, but you learn a lot. You have the opportunities that you wouldn’t have in another university, and you can enrich your knowledge by visiting all the different facilities that they have. The problem is that engineering is very focused on research and not that much in developing the students’ practical skills. Most of the staff members are very friendly and approachable.
In Business School the courses are really interesting, all the staff members are extremely friendly and you really enjoy studying with them. The problem is that sometimes it is pretty tough to approach them since they tend to be really busy. This is a bit frustrating, to be honest.
Apart from studying, at the university, you can enjoy numerous activities. They have a huge gym where you can also try several different sports and join different teams, 4 unions, numerous clubs and societies and they even have a night-club. That means that students can make their student lives more interesting and enrich their CV by doing other extracurricular activities. This helps them connect with other people too.
They also have a huge library which provides almost everything a student would need for their research.
Lastly, a great thing that the University of Glasgow has is the fact that they are extremely organised. They follow an exact schedule that is generally known from the beginning of each academic years, hence as a student, you can organise yourself as well.
Needless to say that the university looks like Hogwarts and the graduation ceremony certainly makes you feel like just graduated a School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It makes you feel really proud of yourself.
