I personally had a really great time at the University of Glasgow, where I studied an MEng in MEchanical Engineering. My recommendation is take the time at University to join a club / sport, it’s a great way to make friends, find yourself and develop as a person.
The University is situated in the west end of Glasgow, which is a lovely area full of parks, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops and everything else you could want.
I found the teaching to be really engaging, with attentive lecturers who could always be called upon to answer questions and assist with your studies/projects.
The degree included many practical learning exercises, called ‘Labs’ where we got to get hands on and test out the theories we were taught in the classroom. When studying for exams, ensure you can do the past papers and know the formulas – if you do these two things you will get good results.
