A super-elite top 10 world ranked and a truly multi-faculty global university

UCL is consistently ranked in the top 10 super-elite global universities in the QS world university rankings (7th in the world and 3rd in the UK in 2017-18) With over 39,000 students, it is the largest of the top 10 global super-elite global universities and yet it prides itself in small classes with a 1:10.5 staff /student ratio.
QS ranks UCL’s Institute of Education 1st in the World and UCL’s Bartlett School of Built Environment 2nd in the World, Archeology (3rd) Anatomy & Physiology (4th) in the top 5 globally, and Dentistry (6th) , Medicine (9th) , Pharmacy & Pharmacology (8th), Psychology (8th), Geography (8th ) and Anthropology (10th) in the world’s top 10.
Times Higher Education World University rankings for faculties ranks UCL’s Medical Faculty 5th in the World, Arts and Humanities 6th in the World and Laws 8th in the World.
National Taiwan University ranks UCL’s Scientific research 10th in the world (2nd in the UK).
UCL has 29 Nobel Prize winners among its alumni & staff include Sir Charles Kao (Physics 2009), Peter Higgs (Physics 2013) and John O’Keefe (Medicine 2014).
