at The University of Edinburgh

__- Edinburgh University is big and very international, so you always meet a lot of fantastic people coming from all corners of the world, being inspiring in what they do__- there is a lot of very active sports societies that you can take part in, which are very diverse and welcoming. Something for everyone! The only con is that sometimes the membership fees can be quite expensive as some sports require a Gym membership..__- there are active student societies for many academic disciplines engaging in paper discussions, inviting speakers for talks and providing peer learning schemes to help you on your degree__- the campus is beautifully centered within Edinburgh, the Library right next to the Meadows where you can go for a walk or enjoy lunch time picknick on the grass__- all over Campus there is scattered cafés, cafeterias, food stalls etc for you to buy lunch or just a snack__- there is many libraries for the different disciplines, the main library is very big, hosts a small cafe and old archives, printers, 3D printers, and all you can wish for. Negative point: you have to fight to get a study table most of the time.__- University provided student accommodation is nice to live in for your first year, to meet other students and often they provide socials, movie nights etc. However, they are mostly very expensive (more expensive than what you can get if you live in a flatshare)__- the city of Edinburgh itself is beautiful: green parks(Meadows, Holyrood park with Arthur’s seat), lots of little cafes and places to eat and many community initiatives (sleep in the park to fundraise for homelessness, foodsharing etc)
