I enrolled at the University of Essex (UoE) in 2020, I chose the UoE because it was close to my hometown and had affordable accommodation on campus and useful facilities on campus such a post office, a post room to collect your parcels and various restaurants.
So far my degree has ran quite well however, there could be some improvement on communication within departments and admin staff. Also, the lack of communication and consistency when staff go on strike make it difficult to receive timely responses as they are not obligated to let students know if they are going on strike.
Taking everything I have said into consideration, I do not regret my decision to study here as it is close to London, expands my network circle through attending the free workshops at the Innovation Centre and has guided me in reinventing myself to support my holistic development.

Our childhood studies MA looks at so many disciplines despite being under the Psychoanalytical and Psychosocial department. Our lecturers are so caring and you can tell they love what they do, they encourage us to fully engage. Also the campus is great and has a lot to offer despite the location. I am always happy when I go to university, I am actually sad to think it will end.
