Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
Although my time at the university coincided with the pandemic, limiting certain experiences, I found the overall quality of education to be commendable. Despite the remote nature of most activities, my lectures were exceptional, delivering up-to-date information relevant to the industry. Moreover, the university provided valuable networking opportunities, allowing me to establish meaningful connections.
While social events were scarce due to the predominantly remote environment, the university compensated by offering substantial hands-on industry experience. Collaborating with various companies, I gained practical knowledge and actively participated in projects directly applicable to my future career. This exposure significantly enhanced my preparedness for the professional world.
Considering my comprehensive experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this university to others seeking a balance between academic excellence and real-world industry immersion.

Joining in September of 2020, I feel the university handled the Covid crisis very well, and made sure we got as much in person teaching as possible. The teaching, as difficult as it was, managed to stay engaging throughout. As time has gone on, I have grown frustrated with the faculties ability to respond to emails and build a more personal relationship with their students. This can be the difference between a pass and a fail. Overall, I would rate my experience a 7/10
