I would like to thank Khayakazi Mgxata who assisted me with my application to UKZN she was a staff member.
She was stationed at the e-learning centre and was extremely helpful in following up on and getting back to me with my queries.
It is always comforting to know, especially when it comes to stressful events like varsity applications, that you have the support and dedicated customer service from a party on the other end to make the process less stressful.

rating this 2 stars because there are a FEW (good) employees that will assist you and try their best to assist you in any way possible( Bless them!). Registering is not a problem and there are cool lecturers.
Now let’s get down to business! The supervisors and some HOD do not communicate, it’s like I’m communicating to a ghost. They are unprofessional and will have you calling this and that person. I UNDERSTAND if they have a lot on their plate but for Pete’s sake, just give a person a notice as to how long they might have to wait on a response. Oh and if you upset one of them by just trying to get your point address (in a polite way) then one employee will tell you “your failure to understand” which is rude and unprofessional. Like imagine telling an investor, manager, employer or business partner – “your failure to understand ” which indicates lack of proper communication. UCT and UWC response quicker and don’t waste time unlike UKZN. So dear UKZN, if you want someone to get the job done, provide proper structure and planning and excellent service. Hire me!
I have been fighting to get my refund for 4 months! I registered and paid to do a CIMA course in April 2021, I was then given the run around for months on when the course would be starting. In September 2021 I requested a refund with the course administrator after back and forth on when we’d start. I was then guaranteed that classes would start in the second week of Jan 2022, so I stayed.
After being given the run around for the following three months, with no timeline or textbooks I requested a refund in April 2022. I have sent all my docs and have not received my refund after FOUR MONTHS.
This is not a small sum of money and the fact that I still don’t have a timeline on when I’ll be receiving it is appalling. If I could give them negative stars I would. DO NOT REGISTER WITH THEM!

View moreThey care for their students. The staff is friendly and they are so accommodating. I come from a completely different place from theirs where I speak a different language. But students are always eager to learn instead of making fun of me.
