I don’t really enjoy studying at the university because of the fact that there’s a huge preference and focus toward Arab students. Many opportunities tend to be for Qataris only or Arabs only. A lot of emails I receive tend to be in Arabic only, even the dean’s list ceremony is in Arabic. So as an English speaker, I feel quite excluded. On the other hand, most programs are segregated, meaning most colleges separate males and females. The entire university in general also separates the two. Sometimes it is nice for us to have our space but in the long run, it won’t benefit anyone, since the workplace isn’t segregated so it would be difficult for students to adjust to working with the opposite gender. With regards to the program itself, I am in the College of business and economics and the main issue I have with it is the fact that there are only 8 courses that are required to be completed for every major which I kind of feel isn’t enough. One pro of the university is that the tuition is very affordable, dorms are very affordable, and there is a bus service to transport students who live far away.

As the statistics shows, QU is one of the best universities In Asia, Gulf, and the whole world with it being within the 1 percent top universities in the world. The opportunities given are various with a super high education level and professional qualified teachers. Could easily say it’s a top class university 10/10

I think Qatar University is great in regards to the accredited faculty and all the expertise they have to offer. I really enjoyed and personally benefited from lot of the courses I took. Although a program at Qatar University may be very tiring and demanding to follow, it is highly rewarding in terms of credibility, which makes hard efforts worthwhile. One of the things I dislike about the university is the lack of activities in some colleges (including mine: arts and sciences). I feel like the university is fully focused on the academic aspect of university life. However, it is worth mentioning that there are activities available which I am unable to join, simply because I have no time to do that. Overall, I’m in my fourth and final year here, and it was personally a good experience even with all the struggles I faced. It is important to note, however, that my experience is quite subjective and relative to the major and college I’m in, many students would disagree with my viewpoint as some colleges are much more demanding than mine.

It was a tremendous success for me to be a part of university of Qatar. Also the city has such a modern and well developed infrastructure. The quality life is immensely good and student and a great value.

Qatar University is a good place to study. But, the key facilities are missing, especially for male students, such as barrier-free internal transport, restaurant alternatives and the offer of university courses for men, while not forgetting to mention the fact that some buildings are not sufficiently air-conditioned. It’s also pretty boring because there aren’t many things to do at university.

The university contains almost any tool, machine, or hardware, the software you can dream of. The only thing missing is that it lacks practical theory application. However, every course is supported with projects but it needs some direction

My university experience was one of a kind, as my program mostly consisted of practical courses which made the learning experience very enjoyable and helpful and the projects of these courses were REAL LIFE projects which made the work field much easier to deal with after graduation and made me gain lots of practical knowledge, and honestly 95% the professors were very helpful and understanding and were making sure that the students get the most out of every course, my only comment would be that a few theoretical courses within the program might need to be reconsidered.
