I’m an aerospace engineering student at this university. The level of education at the faculty of engineering is quite high, the professors are without any doubt prepared, but not all of them is at the same time able to share and teach their knowledge and this leads to lessons difficult to follow and concepts difficult to understand. Moreover, both lessons and exams are theoretical oriented, we have no team works and labs at all during our curriculum that’s quite weird thinking of the job we are later on supposed to do, based on team work and hands-on activities. Furthermore, the curriculum is almost all fixed, with just 2 exams to choose between few options and there’s a hierarchy among exams: some of them are blocked by others, so you must do them in a certain planned order.
However, the buildings are quite ok even if with few libraries and study rooms.
What’s really good is the city: Pisa is a student city and there are thousands of possibility to make new friends, go out and enjoy your university student life.
I would recommend it if you’re not interested in hands-on activities during your studies.
