Alba is a business shcool which prepared students for corporate environments. During my studies we had a) presentations in campus by business executives presenting and explaining relevant strategies in their organisations, b) in most courses we studied business cases linked to theory taught and c) career days are organised frequently to connect students to organisations, Most professors master their area and there was good balance between theory and practice. Facilities are very pleasant and in general it is a very organised institution with helpful administrative staff. Overall the course met my expectations and as I working at the same time on the topic of my studies I found it very helpful to implement the knowledge gained and also helped my very much to put my work in context. In addition there have ongoing career services to the alumni and networking activities.

The programs are supposed to be for people with work experience so it would be good to have classmates with prof experience to be able to share business practices.
Good career opportunities after its completion in Greece – unfo cannot say the same for people who want to work abroad.

5. A lot of International students!
The staff and lecturers are excellent!
Their experience and willingness go beyond expectations!
The location is great as it is very near to the center of Athens and also, it is easily accessible by using public transportation!
View moreThey have an amazing network, both internal and external, so career prospects are ridiculously high. Professors are mostly excellent, receptive to feedback, with very small exceptions (only 2/15 professors I had were disappointing).
They offer relevant knowledge that transcends time in many cases, something that is fairly hard to do in today’s ever-changing world. They much prefer understanding over rote learning, something that is conducive to nurturing critical thinking and intuition over memorisation ability.
The only caveat I would have is over student selection. We had to go through an interview and I think the standards were not high enough, especially in the English language aspect. There was really low class participation, sabotaging the learning experience, due to the extremely low level of English, as well as students from Greek universities who were not used to having to participate in class. I think professors should more actively try to engage students, as well as letting them know at the beginning that this is going to be a participation-based class, maybe even grade it.
As far as the selection goes, I understand that it is also a business that has to make ends meet, but there were 3 people in particular in our class of 30 who could not put a coherent sentence together, much less read the advanced material we were asked to study. This has to be fixed.
Instead of studying abroad you can study in Greece in an innovative business school. Market oriented, strong reputation in labour market, hundreds of alumni in middle level and managerial positions – considering that the school has 30 years of life and small classes.

I would definitely suggest to others to study in Alba.
I believe that networking with companies is the strongest asset if this university. I would really consider having more studies there.
The school stands out with a strong brand name in the market, however the level of certain professors, the material provided and the interest of students was not the expected for graduate students. It is obvious that you are attending a master degree to advance your career expectations, however it is necessary to advance proper your knowledge
