AUTh is the largest university in Greece. Therefore, one can only be certain enough to speak for their faculty, which in my case is the faculty of engineering. Facility wise, it has its weaknesses but on the bright side it features multiple libraries, a server, computer and many other types of labs. The teaching as well as the rest of the staff is relatively good, skilled and willing enough to support the student body with their struggles in academia. My wider experience -which has been largely affected by Covid19- has been positively impacted by the extracurricular activities that one can take up while studying there, especially the ones initiated by students, such as cinema, photography and theater clubs, student organizations that promote personal development and teamwork like EESTEC, and various other kinds of workshops, conventions and special days. One also has to take in account that AUTh features a city campus, which makes it even more deeply connected with the lively vibe of Thessaloniki, where life has to offer something to everyone. Overall, I believe that in AUTh, as an engineering student at least, you get to make the most out of your academic experience, which is the least to say, interesting.
