I studied at the University of Education, Winneba, and honestly, it’s been a good experience. The lecturers are dedicated and always ready to help you understand what they teach. I really liked the teaching practice part of the programme because it gave me real classroom experience and helped me build confidence as a future teacher.
One thing I didn’t really like is the student portal. It’s not user-friendly at all, and sometimes it takes a long time to access results or register for courses. I think if they work on improving that, things would be much easier for students.
Aside from that, UEW is a great place to study, especially if you’re passionate about teaching. I’ve learned a lot and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to become a good teacher.
View moreI deeply admire the University of Education for its commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching methodologies, and nurturing environment. The institution fosters intellectual growth, research, and professional development, leaving little to dislike.

These skills have helped me understand the fundamental concepts, theories and principles that underlie my field of study.
Campus life is mostly fun and educational. My professors always ensure that students understand what they are taught.
The lecturers are very friendly and accommodating. We have a good relationship with our lecturers. They do not make us feel like students.
Also, the university has been able to blend online classes with physical classes perfectly, however, the university does not provide students with devices to enable students to access online classes and the network connectivity is poor most of the time.
Lastly, I wish the university can provide students with libraries.
The university even though is meant to train teachers has some years diverted from it core mandate pf training teachers. There are so many challenges in the school with regards to release of students result for an academic year. Results sometimes delays unnecessarily. The school has facilities which are not enough for growing population of the school. The lecturers and students are discipline in terms of academics
View moreUEW according to my opinion may not be as big as other other universities but one assuring thing that makes students feel comfortable is the security and accommodation. Students dress decently and are also calm. The university has made available both university halls and hostels so that students dont wander about for rooms. Expert security men are also employed to check for theft and other cases which may be detrimental to the health and success of students.
View moreDuring our laboratory safety and first aid class, i was taught how to stop bleeding of a student who has been injured. Stopping bleeding is a skill which needs to be learnt. I would recommend the university to anyone who wishes to study there.
