at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology - KNUST

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology popularly known as KNUST previously known as Kumasi College of technology has been the number one choice of most ambitious prospective students who seek to achieve high educational standards ever since it was established in 1952. I personally never had any desire to obtain my bachelor’s degree from any other university in Ghana aside from KNUST due to the fact that it was and still is the leading university in training top-notch engineers who are ready for the field right after graduation. KNUST gives the students the opportunity to engage in practical sessions of all lessons that are being taught in the form of internships for a period of not less than six months. For students to get internship opportunities in a country that’s highly dominated by nepotism, the lecturers liaise with companies in order to help the students get the opportunity to be trained. I was personally trained by skilled professors from my first year in school till I completed it. In terms of field work, KNUST provides the necessary resources required to successfully practise what’s been taught in the lecture hall.
The school has a serene environment with well-pruned vegetation cover. A walk from the residential hall to the lecture area has a beautiful vegetation cover that stretches from both sides of the road with the walkways tiled along the road.
The KNUST security personnel that patrol the campus at all times help make Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology secure from all forms of violence and attack by and on some students. Still on security, during festive seasons, at which time the school mostly go on vacation, more security personnel are deployed to ensure the students leave the campus safely. In the whole of Ghana, KNUST has the highest form of security which makes it ideal for students to freely move about at all times without any form of fear.
Due to the location of the campus, being able to access foodstuffs and other basic necessities is as easy as it can be.

I highly recommend anyone who wants to be trained as a skilled engineer to consider KNUST as his or her first option. KNUST accepts students from all nationalities and have special packages to enhance their stay in ghana.
