The University has broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of Africa and its rich heritage.

For me, Affordability is a factor that contributes to AAU’s reputation as a leading institution in Ethiopia. The university offers a range of scholarships and financial aid options to help students cover the cost of their education. This commitment to accessibility ensures that students from all walks of life have the opportunity to benefit from AAU’s world-class education. AAU also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, incorporating environmental and social responsibility into its curriculum and campus operations. While AAU has many strengths, there are areas for improvement. For example, the university could enhance its international collaborations and partnerships to provide students with more opportunities for global learning experiences. Additionally, there is always room for improvement in terms of infrastructure and campus facilities.

The diverse student body enriches the academic experience, although Ethiopian students make up the majority. With a sizable population, the university fosters a vibrant learning environment. Facilities vary; while some are modern, others require improvement to meet contemporary standards. AAU provides solid education, but there’s room for enhancement in terms of facilities and support for students facing financial constraints.

It is the first & well-known university in Ethiopia, and has experienced lecturers who are known in the other nation, teaching and learning processes are well-designed compared with the other universities

5. It also hosts some of the country’s most distinguished speakers from all over the world who visit as guest lecturers each year.
6. The university classes are diverse, giving students ample access to different perspectives on life and culture in Ethiopia, as well as other parts of the world.

Cons:
1. Despite having a wide array of courses, Addis Ababa University still lacks advanced programs that cater to more specific fields of study such as architecture or biotechnology for example.
2. The library is not well-equipped with books or other materials compared with other universities in Ethiopia or around the world
3 .The teaching staff at Addis Ababa University is not always up-to-date with current trends in academia or industry due to limited resources and professional development opportunities available to faculty members at the university.

Addis Ababa university is one of the top and oldest African universities I have learnt there for 5 years pharmacy and I found well equipped and rich in technology. It works for change the life of society.
