The University of Windsor’s Bachelor in Education program is well run and does everything it can to help future educators understand the nuanced career they are getting themselves into. The classes helped to prepare me for real-classroom experience, and the practicums were invaluable. Being a commuter, the faculty helped to pair me with practicums and teachers in my small town. This was very helpful, considering I got to spend more time on my practicum duties, and less time driving. My practicum evaluator was kind and honest, giving me excellent feedback and ideas to improve my teaching practice. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who desires a career in education.
The school itself is beautiful, and they’re always working on improving the campus where needed. There are many international students, and Windsor itself is a very multicultural area. The university does an excellent job of making sure each cultural group feels at home. The career prospects are excellent, especially now, considering the area surrounding the university is booming.
The University of Windsor’s website could be improved upon to become more user-friendly, as I find it busy and overcomplicated.
All in all, I would recommend this university to prospective students, especially those considering a career in education.
