The course resources remained up-to-date throughout, and we consistently acquired fresh skills and expanded our understanding through practical sessions, where we had the opportunity to seek guidance from our professors. Additionally, designated office hours were allocated for us to seek assistance from the professors when needed.

I have never had a class where I felt the professor was unqualified, and it is clear that academics and professors are the main focus of AU. The campus arboretum complements the outstanding education, but there are so many other attributes that I question my school’s overall reputation. Housing on campus is a lottery, and the food is terrible. Good riddance, Greek life, but the party scene is now virtually nonexistent. For people over 21, DC is a terrific playground, but underclassmen will have a difficult time fitting in. The internship team and administration at AU are responsible for the most flagrant violations. The majority of AU students are promised internships, yet they do little to assist you.

The campus is beautiful (it even has an arboretum, which ensures that the campus will always have lots of trees, flowers, and whimsical landscaping). UA is focused on being a “green” (environmentally friendly) university, so buildings are renovated to be “green” buildings. The School of International Service is already a green building as it was recently constructed. The library is quite large. Whether you want it super quiet, relatively quiet, or a more moderate noise level for conversations, there’s a dedicated floor for that noise level. And it’s open 24 hours a day!
The only downside in terms of facilities is the sports center. The gym is very small (at least by an athlete’s standards) and tends to get very crowded.

Students at this school are highly motivated and hardworking. While it can be intimidating, I believe it can be a positive influence based on the kind of experience you seek. The campus is beautiful; it’s like walking through a garden. While the school culture has its drawbacks (as do all schools), it is very open and diverse to all students. The setting is the ideal blend of suburban and urban living.

The quality of instruction and professors this school offers, in my first-year experience, is one of its best features. My biggest gripe is that there is only one, the cafeteria and the food is frequently bland and lacks nutrition. The campus is peaceful to say

The quality of the lectures were great and the professors were always available to help even outside office hours. The facilities are gorgeous and the culture at the school is very inclusive and open to all people. The only con I will highlight about the school is that it’s very political and some students are highly extreme in their position.
