Manchester Metropolitan University provide incredible support for us as students. They are committed to cultivating an environment which is not hostile, but rather conducive for ensuring that we feel accepted as students, regardless of race, class, ethnicity or sexual orientation. The University have a myriad of programs and projects which are aimed at tackling social issues such as sexual harassment, and the issues of FGM and Honour-Based violence. I study International Relations, and I find the course intellectually stimulating. My lecturers and seminar leaders are engaging, and they encourage us to think critically about many of the concepts within international relations. Many of the modules consist of regular opportunities for us to receive personal feedback from our seminar tutors, which enables us both to recognise our development, and what can be done to further enhance our knowledge and understanding. The set-up of our assessments for International Relations is incredibly non-threatening as it is primarily coursework based.
