Having just completed my first term as an undergraduate Politics and Sociology student at Warwick University, I can safely say that choosing Warwick has been one of the test decisions I’ve made so far. From the hundreds of societies and organisations you can join to explore your passions to the incredibly helpful lecturers and peers who take their time to get to know you as a person and not just a pupil, Warwick has been a revelation for me.
One of my main highlights was the crazy excitement of Freshers Week. We had literally hundreds of events to choose from to help us make new friends, get to know the uni better as well as pick up new hobbies and interests that most of us enjoy doing alongside our studies. I am now a proud member of the motorsport society and learning important life skills with the Public speaking society.
Warwick’s academic status speaks for itself in the league tables but I believe what makes it truly stand out from its peers is the care that has been taken to make the university a place to allow you to develop socially and not just academically.
I can’t wait to start next term and do my first speech and I’m really grateful that the uni has given me the tools and the platform to do this.
