Bede’s Summer School was founded in 1992 and has become THE place to learn English. The school offers academic and holiday residential summer programmes for students ages 6 to 20. Nowadays, more than 1 500 students take the chance to experience the outstanding linguistic and cultural experience that Bede’s Summer School has to offer. Students come from all over the world, from over 50 different countries, to be exact. What makes studying at Bede’s Summer School so special? The students get the opportunity to participate in a carefully-designed programme of English lessons, as well as sports / leisure activities and evening entertainment and cultural trips. The school delivers the courses at 7 boarding schools and universities in South East England during summer time (July and August). Due to the excellent courses but also because of the after-school activities, students get to practice their newly-gained English skills in a real-life setting. They improve quickly as they have to speak English on a daily basis. Bede’s Summer School is accredited by the British Council and is a member of Quality English and English UK (an optional trade association for English language schools in the UK). It was also named a Centre of Excellence by the “EL Gazette” in 2013.
