Bilkent University firstly shocks you with how strict it seems. However, as time passes by, one gets used to the strictness and even starts to enjoy it! This is due to the reason that time management becomes a skill that you absolutely love. This is perhaps the best thing about Bilkent. It teaches you valuable skills necessary for real world.

I am studying Economics at Bilkent University this is my 4th year here. Every piece of education is outdated and dinosaur university management tries to continue their 30 years old academic standards. This university is only focuses on old academic relics. They do not have intentions to change the world let alone follow it. This place is like church of old ages. If you beat the system you can be successful. They do not have any applied or modern techniques all of curriculums are made up by their egoist professors and do not have any connection to world class universities. Best academics are leaving this church since they do not let them to do what is modern and required. Their aim is to keep students occupied with useless info since they believe this academic nonsense is education even they are avoiding the students to follow the world on their own. You must obey their cults religion! Be careful they are only relying on their old reputation which is 30 years old like their education. Every penny you have spent to this university is worse than throwing it to garbage because they stole your dreams as well.

Quite a good university, with a lovely atmosphere. Academics are also good. Just some problems with the Turkish students being shy to speak in English. Has very good opportunities for exchange programs in Europe and around the world. Can get a good placement easily for Masters or PhD after studying from Bilkent.
