The University of Salamanca is one of the oldest in the world and today it continues to be one of the most powerful in the world, especially in Letters and Social Studies. It also has agreements with many foreign universities, which can greatly facilitate any type of exchange (believe me that in these things, the paperwork can be endless and if it’s already done, even better).
On the other hand, it is necessary to say that the city of Salamanca is one of the best to spend your university stage. Most of the people you will meet will welcome you with open arms.
This university has been educating students since 1218 and has quite a good reputation. The student body is very diverse in multiple disciplines, making it easier to find people with similar interests. Also, the professors are strict with the class contents and assignments, so you end up being well prepared after you finish your undergraduate degree. However, the way most professors teach their class is poorly interactive which causes students not to be very interested or motivated on the subject being taught. In addition, people in the city are quite serious and shy, as well as some of the students, which sometimes can make it difficult to create any type of relationship with them. Overall, I would recommend this university if you would like to end up with a solid degree that is well recognized internationally, regardless of the way classes are taught.
