Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
The study abroad component exposes students to diverse cultures and traditions, enriching their global perspective and cultural awareness. This exposure is particularly advantageous for those aspiring to pursue hospitality careers on an international scale. The expansive curriculum offered at Universidad de Salamanca encompasses every facet of the program, providing students with a well-rounded education. The hands-on experience acquired is instrumental in equipping students with the requisite skills to overcome future career challenges.
View moreI was there only for a one year master, but I enjoyed my time there and I found it very useful. The classes were fine, and the burocracy was ok (it’s never perfect).
I had a private appointment with the chief of studies right before the start to really understand the basics of the master, and that was very helpful.
Without a doubt, the University of Salamanca is one of the best universities in Spain. Its students enjoy an incomparable setting to carry out their studies in an eight-hundred-year-old institution that offers an atmosphere in its streets that attracts more students each year. Salamanca is a fully university city where all the principles of science are taught, the cradle of Human Rights and many other great contributions to humanity.
View moreAs a student, I have had the opportunity to witness the overall performance of the university. From the Law’s Bachelor perspective, although every department has very talented researchers and lecturers, I would recommend to strengthen the internship programs and facilitating entry to the labour market for students. Anyway, the University of Salamanca offers a very enriching experience within an international, diverse environment. 8/10
