What Is a Modern Languages Degree?
Nowadays, more and more students start to pursue a degree in modern languages. A modern languages degree is not only related to learning a new language but also understand the cultural context of the countries in which the language is spoken.
Candidates studying a modern languages course will also be given knowledge and experience of the political and historical contexts of a particular region. Modern Languages Degree Structure
Modern Languages Degrees are four years commitments, out of which one semester or a year should be spent abroad – in a partnered institution. This gives students the opportunity to practice the language they are studying and understand a new culture.
Modern Languages is a degree that can be studied either as a single honour degree or a joint honour degree. This gives students the ability to combine modern language with another course such as politics, literature, history and many others.

StudentZAPerfect Distance Learning in AfricaUNISA is a distance learning university in South Africa. I am enrolled in a BA International Relations course. UNISA has a great online platform that is easy to interact with from the application process, enrollment process and my academic journey. I love the communication from the university, they replied to all my queries and directed me to the correct departments when I contacted the wrong person. Despite being an online university they provide excellent programs to accommodate the transition from high school to university which I really loved. I am currently working so I cannot attend lectures during my work hours but UNISA has evening classes and they record their class which I can access at a letter stage to catch up and study when I missed a class and that is just amazing for me.

While Unisa is much cheaper than other universities, their service levels are much to be desired.
Try to get hold of them telephonically or via e-mail and it can be a while until you fet a response.
I’ve also been a situation where test results are only being released after the exam.
