The course provides a complex and versatile (though pretty shallow) overview of economics and social sciences in general, as well as a more in-depth understanding of statistical and econometric methods, focusing on understanding of theory and high level mathematics. The programme lacks in the field of modern tools and practical skills, without much introduction to computer science, statistical software etc. As with most courses in applied mathematics, students know they will need to learn those tools by themselves, as it is almost impossible to work in the field without having to use them.
