Helsinki is my home city anyway so I chose Aalto because it was convenient and near to the city. The school has its own pros and cons. If I have to start with cons, I would say one should be of wary of the weather they are coming to. Its extremely dry and cold. Finnish people understand English but are prone to speaking their mother tongue. This definitely affects the internationality of the city and hence, Aalto did not have a lot of students from foreign countries.
On the positives, it is still one of the top schools in Europe and has an extremely conducive and learning-oriented environment. There are several opportunities to go on exchange and the professors make sure that all students are kept together.
