Despite the recent increase in popularity, Wuhan has gained as a result of the pandemic, not many people outside of China know that Wuhan is renowned for its excellent educational institutions. And none other stands out quite as well as Wuhan University. Helmed as the most beautiful university in China, Wuhan University is coveted by many and is ranked top 10 in China and 209 in the world. They have excellent classrooms, sports and, extracurricular facilities; that attract many students far and wide. Staff support is impeccable and the administration is always there to lend a helping hand.
Despite all these incredible aspects of Wuhan University, there are some areas that need improvement. The biggest one that stands out would be for greater integration of foreign students and Chinese students. Various reasons such as language barriers and China only recently opening up to the rest of the world contribute to the issue. However, in recent years cultural festivals and inclusionary activities have aided in bringing everyone together.
Wuhan University is located in the City centre of the Wuchang district. This is ideal, as everything is within 30 minutes of you. There are a couple of other renowned Universities clustered around that area, making it a hotspot for students. And with that comes great opportunities for entertainment, coupled with 3 metro stations that intersect in that area and can connect you to the rest of the city.
The people are lovely and interesting. The food is amazing. I highly recommend it. At the very least try a language course before committing to a degree. And did I mention— tuition for most undergraduate courses ranges from 3000-6000usd.
View moreAs a masters student (English program) at Wuhan University, I have faced some challenges during my courses because of the communication problem. This university is very good for scientific research with the beautiful and lively campus. The accommodation facility for an international student is quite impressive. I will recommend prospective students for studying at this university especially in the Chinese language not in English language programs.
