My overall opinion of Mount Royal is positive. I enjoyed the smaller class sizes as professors were allowed to remember students’ names and engage us in more class-based discussions and allow small group work. This allowed students to get closer to their classmates and closer to the professor. However, I would like to highlight only a small percentage of professors use the small classes effectively. A majority of professors treat a small class like a larger university class, presenting topics on mundane PowerPoint. From my own experience, I tended to score higher in classes that had a professor that used small class sizes to their advantage. I would recommend Mount Royal to anyone pursuing higher education, especially students not from the City of Calgary as the class sizes make it easy to get acquainted with your fellow classmates.

View moreGreat place to learn. I loved how classes felt personal and smaller in size. Professors are great and care about your progress. Also, they have pretty awesome advisors whom you can reach for any questions.
View moreI have been at the school for a year now and I can say that it’s not completely terrible however, there are things I would change or don’t like. My program is very fun and I have liked it but sometimes the teachers for my classes end up being bad teachers. I had one experience where a teacher marked my assignment while being in a mood and gave me a lower grade. Most teachers are good but some have bad days and decide to take it out on their students. However, asides from this one issue I would say that this school has no other issues in my eyes.
