Student review [#13286] for Computer Science
at The University of Manchester

I am a student in computer science and mathematics and so far my experience is really great. Being an international student it may be daunting to move to a new place but Manchester is a really great city and the professors and staff at the university are really helpful. Staying in the student accommodation is not compulsory and I did not stay there, but from my understanding, you either love it or hate it. The teachers are really good and always available for email. In my degree, we have a lot of contact hours and plenty of support. I have an overall tutor, a maths tutor and computer science tutor, so we are really getting helped and catered to. The course is really great for people wanting an overall understanding of computer science and mathematics. There is so much careers help, we constantly have companies in our school and plenty of people to talk to about interviews, applications, etc. There are too many clubs and societies so if you want to do something you will never get bored. Overall, apart from the accommodation which is not ideal (I don’t know how they compare to others), it is a pleasure to study here.
