Despite the high tuition fees I enjoy the university experience overall. Especially in my first year I had quite some to spend on extracurricular activities. Since there are 100000 students across Manchester you can find and get involved in all the activities you want to pursue. Thus, I experienced a healthy work life balance so far. The overall living costs are bearable. However it would be great to have a greater offer of discounted meals across campus. The value of the course depends heavily on the charisma of the lecturer. If you are lucky and have an inspiring professor you enjoy the module but you can be unlucky as well. Overall the university offers great opportunities and is a very good place to study.
