There are many things I truly love about this university. The environment is orderly, neat, and naturally beautiful. It’s a place you can easily fall in love with. One thing that stood out for me, which others may not always appreciate, is the discipline. The school has rules and regulations that guide students, and while some see them as strict, I believe they shaped me positively. From maintaining proper dress codes to following rules, it taught me self-discipline and prepared me morally, physically, socially, and holistically for the future. Another highlight was the cafeteria. I always looked forward to the meals, especially beans, stew, plantain, and bread. The Sabbath meals were special too, with long lines forming for the delicious food and treats like ice cream, cake, popcorn, and apples. Meals such as jollof rice, fried yam, potatoes with egg sauce, and “gbadun rice” created unforgettable memories. Academically, the university has exceptional lecturers who are knowledgeable and genuinely care about students’ wellbeing and success. Spiritually, the chapel programs, weekly worship, and hall worship services were meaningful and helped to strengthen students. While some may not have enjoyed the frequent worship schedule and mandatory attendance, I appreciated it, especially since I served as a chaplain and later became the head chaplain for my graduating class — a role that allowed me to touch many lives. Accommodation was fairly good and budget-friendly, with options depending on one’s finances. Although there were occasional issues with water or electricity, the school usually tried its best to resolve them. I also appreciated the opportunities to connect and network with alumni outside the school, as well as the support given to graduating students in preparing for their future. The main challenge I experienced was the cost, school fees were high and seemed to increase every session, and many things on campus were quite expensive. Overall, my experience was rewarding, and I would recommend this university to others. It is a place that not only provides quality education but also builds character and prepares you for life beyond academics.
I studied Mechatronics Engineering and I would say the university is one of the best in science and technology in general. It's equipped with adequate facilities to facilitate various courses of study. The tuition fee is affordable, and the campus is very student-friendly. Extra-curricular activities are very good and well organized. In terms of food provision, they are top-notch and have healthy spaces for cooking. The lecturers teach well and give adequate assessments every class. The only thing I didn't really like is the high rate of impromptu actions taken by the lecturers and the school in general. It affects students at times after they've planned out how they'd spend their time. But in general, I did enjoy my 5-years stay at the university.
We need more of practical and teaching must be done in willingness of the teachers, we are been forced like a horse to learn, no transportation and student have limited time to study and prepare for exams
My honest review about my school is how fast the school calendar is The school is well known for its conducive environment for learning and the school also allow student to lean a skill aside from their individual choice of course to study Examples are Fish farming, Tye and dye, Tailoring and so on. The lecturers also made learning easy for students . Campus life is fun, but the school make the difference between fun time and learning period different so you don't jeopardize your studies.
