View moreBeing graded in Sweden is less stressful than in other European countries, like in France for example. Teachers are most of the time more pedagogues and lead more motivation when a student failed at an exam. In this system, teachers are really worried about the course comprehension. The Swedish system takes care of students and it’s really pleasant to work in this system.
View moreI’m taking Stockholm University to court for their criminal negligence in ignoring my requests over the past 1.5 years for conflict resolution services because my master’s thesis supervisor sabotaged my research and then blocked access to further educational resources by instructing my department not to communicate with me in any capacity.
This is not just a departmental problem, but a university wide problem where the faculty have turned a blind eye to the Asian, Middle Eastern, and Turkish Studies department’s wild misconduct in terms of discrimination against students.
The uni even went so far as to change their examination regulations for first and second cycle studies at Stockholm University after I brought to the attention of the faculty the sections of the regulations which the staff in the Middle Eastern Studies dept violated to discriminate against me.
View moreAt the Stockholm University the campus is huge and it has everything! Restaurants, a lot of places you can study – alone or with your friends, a big library, a bar… And not to mention the enormous variety of courses. Whatever you need, Stockholm University has it! I see a lot of students come in the morning and they stay until late at night, it’s honestly peoples second home. I’m on my last year of bachelor in HR and I can honestly say that I’m going to miss the Stockholm University.
View moreStockholm University campus is very nice and so close to the nature. It was enjoyable in walking around the campus as it is located next to a national park. Lecturers, staffs and classmates were very friendly. The program I studied was mainly in English (some courses were only in Swedish). As an international master student, I was a bit frustrated about but it was understandable. It was super cool that there were some courses in either Swedish or English, which meant if an international student chooses that course, it will be taught in English. Hope the lecturers will consider to offer those courses originally only taught in Swedish with bilingual option.
