The requirements are high, which makes learning interesting. My quality of research and teaching has really improved as a result of my being here. The reputation of the university enables me to hold my head up high in professional and academic circles.
View moreI am doing a PhD in Cranfield University. The study environment is great with a lot of possibilities for experimental researches. My supervisors are very competent and well recognised internationally which is a sign of the quality of the research going on here.
However there is a lack of technician support in some areas that could be problematic if one is not fully autonomous, as well as a lack of money to renew some of the experimental and characterization devices when they are broken.
I like the fact that the surroundings are quiet and the proximity with London for weekend trips.
I am doing my PhD at Cranfield University. It has been a great experience so far for my professional and personal enrichment. It is a multicultural environment where everybody has the chance to know many people from all around the world. It is also a good University because of the many collaborations with Industry. This represents a great opportunity for all the students who want to complete their studies and face the working environment.
It is a bit isolated (in the middle of nowhere as many says) but pubs, social activities to meet people and be involved are not missing.
I would highly recommend Cranfield, come and join us!
