Carolina has something to do with just about anyone. With its wide selection of majors and extracurriculars, they really let you create your own undergraduate experience. If you want to get into research, there’s plenty of opportunities to do that by just talking to professors and searching lab websites. If you want to just have a chill weekend night, the Union usually plays recently released movies every Friday and Saturday night for free. If you want to make something with your own hands, Carolina has a few Makerspace locations to 3-D print or laser cut anything you want. In terms of course load, it can be difficult at times but it’s manageable with time management and use of resources. I personally enjoyed going to talk to professors with any questions I had during office hours and studying with friends at Starbucks or the UL. Finally, the athletic programs at UNC are some of the best in the country. Most notable is the men’s basketball program that recently won the national championship in 2017. Overall, I had a pretty great experience during my time at Carolina and would recommend it to anyone who’s considering going to UNC.
