Pros — Very friendly culture, surprisingly open, clear structure for building lifelong bonds. A great service to not only pursue a career you love, but also to find a career you love. The faculty is very friendly and approachable, and Boston/Cambridge is a fun city with good food, places to hang out, other academic centers (MIT, BU, Berkeley, etc.) and cultural events. Disadvantages The workload can initially be too much because it lacks quality. Financial aid is slightly less than Stanford. HBS relies heavily on the case method, which is great learning but not necessarily the best for every skill. “The school integrates FIELD courses that involve a lot of practice, but those practical areas like communication, inspirational leadership, presence, suggestion, self-awareness are definitely secondary to the core classes that are taught on an individual basis.”
