The title says it all. There’s the T so you can get off campus and explore Boston, etc. profitably. It may sound like a soap bubble, but anyone who thinks that’s not the case at all universities is kidding themselves. But really, Cambridge and Harvard Square are great! The clothes shops are quite expensive and there are a lot of tourists, but on the streets of Cambridge you see all walks of life: rich and poor students, business people, barbers and cooks smoking on break, homeless, etc Not a bad bubble to be in. There are also very good restaurants. Pinocchio’s Pizza is my favorite late night restaurant. Not many Chinese food options in the area :(. Tons of universities nearby (Tufts, BU, MIT, etc.) so if you have friends who go to those schools, you can totally hang out every weekend- ends if you wish!I didn’t see a lot of negative attitudes towards students – maybe a bit because of visits from BU girls. They are just jealous ;). Once I got lost looking for a building and did two miles of trail and a really nice realtor at a random building I walked into asking for directions was super nice. Most stores offer student discounts if you ask I think. Plus, there are always performances on Massachusetts Avenue. from dancers to singers etc. I love this campus – one of the reasons I chose Harvard!
