The program is nice and it provides a lot of workshops and lectures. The part I like most about my program is it offers in-sessional language courses. But I find some professional courses are not enough because we only have three modules each semester. The university is very amazing. Many clubs and activities are provided each week. I could find a lot of entertainment at university and make friends. But I don’t have confidence in my future career and it’s very difficult to find a job related to my major in the UK.
View moreMy course is a small course, great so everyone knows each other and is close with the lecturers and tutors! The obvious downside was covid and being online, a blender approach with some face to face teaching was allowed but hard to fully chat and concentrate when in class. The University of York is welcoming to international students and is a great city to explore British culture, the shambles and rivers are gorgeous. The University of York has a college system with 9 colleges, some on-campus west and some East (I would personally recommend Goodricke), with a range of prices and room sizes. The student union is very good and the campus has a range of bars and restaurants. I am currently writing my dissertation and thinking about what to do after I graduate, I would love to interact with the possible university of York students and answer any questions! I got involved with York Students in Schools volunteering programmes, the Goodricke college committee and other events. I am a final year English in Education student looking to get into Teaching!
