UWL has a number of academic schools with undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a diverse range of subjects. All courses at the University are career-focused and are taught by industry experts, which has resulted in its status as one of the top universities in the UK for teaching quality.

Campus & Student Life

The West London Campus has two sites in Ealing and Brentford, which are a 10-minute walk from each other and are also connected by a regular and free shuttle bus. The University’s Berkshire Institute for Health at Fountain House is located in Reading town centre. The Ealing site has recently been transformed. It houses the just refurbished Students’ union, music studios, an auditorium, the Paul Hamlyn Library, restaurants and cafes, a gym, social and teaching spaces as well as studios for the student radio station. The Brentford site is home to the School of Human and Social Sciences, the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare, The Claude Littner Business School. There are simulation centres that recreate a real healthcare setting and a crime scene room designed for giving criminology students the feeling of a real crime scene investigation. Paragon Student Lets, which is the University’s Halls of Residence, is also located at the Brentford site. UWL offers a range of university-managed shared flats, houses and accommodation as well.

UWL Library provides a wide range of books, journals, and e-resources to its students and staff. The Library has different types of study spaces and computers to suit everyone’s needs. It is open for the University community 24/7 during term time.

The University has located its Sport and Fitness Centre at the St Mary’s Road campus. It is open to the UWL community from 8 am to 9 pm from Monday to Saturday. The University’s competitive sports teams, such as rugby, football, netball and hockey, train and play on the pitches and courts of Ealing Trailfinders. The facilities there are available to all UWL students, who wish to diversify their daily routine with a healthy sports activity. In addition to its sports clubs, UWL offers a wide range of societies, such as dance, gaming, and chess, which are a great way to learn new skills and find new friends. In the unlikely event of students not being able to find a society that suits their needs, they can create their own society and do something that they are passionate about.

Career & Alumni

UWL offers career-focused courses in order to create great employment prospects for its students. 98% of UWL’s graduates are in employment or further study within 6 months of graduation., which serves as evidence proving the University’s dedication to providing wonderful career opportunities to its students. UWL students can also search for placements and engage with employers while at University in order to enhance their professional experience. UWL Alumni Association helps alumni to stay in touch and provides them with many benefits. Continued access to campus and some of its resources, such as borrowing from the library, discounts on room hires, careers and employment support and many others, are provided to alumni of the University. The Student Advice Team, Student Services and UWL as a whole are there to provide life-long career counseling to students in order to make sure they will be able to go on their dream career path.
