RHUL was an amazing place to study. I didn’t really have much expectation when I first arrived; however, after a few weeks I quickly started to learn how good the university was. The thing I liked the most was socialising and playing football for the university team.
The things I think they could improve on were as follows:
The Afro-Caribbean Society – I didn’t feel like it represented the values, culture or historical meaning of having a society, hence why I left only after 1 month.
Hall Life – I think there could have been a few improvements to life on campus, as there wasn’t ever much organised for the communities living on campus.
Study Areas – I always found that there wasn’t somewhere to go and do private studies. However, since then they’ve built a new library to accommodate the large number of students. Shame it wasn’t built during my time there.
All in all I would seriously recommend it to anyone as it was such a fantastic experience for me. Out of 10, I would rate my overall time there 8.5/10.
