LSE is an amazing institution, have been enjoying every second of myself here, with great motivated fellow students. With a great reputation, facilities, along with exceptional academic staff, the university provides an exciting academic environment for students to be in. It is not perfect in my opinion, due to a flaw in ‘outsourcing’ its research methodology courses to its methodology department, which is not the most organised department within the institution, and students cam barely benefit from the general social science research methodology courses compared to a subject-specific one
View moreLSE is a great university for many reasons. The campus is located in the heart of London which gives you a great feeling. This further allows for amazing networking opportunities. From the beginning of the academic year, many companies come to campus for recruiting and alumni also often come back to share their experiences. LSE is not just great for its education, but also for what comes after your time here. LSE is also a little different in terms of academics. It urges students to be independent in their studies. You are encouraged to meet with GTAs and professors to do further research about your areas of interest as opposed to being spoon-fed. This makes students more responsible and accountable for their results. Additionally, they have seminars and guest lectures very often which is an opportunity for students to learn about topics that they are not taking classes in. LSE has loads of opportunities, it is up to the students to take advantage of it.
