As a second-year marketing student at the University of Exeter, I have had the opportunity to experience the university’s offerings firsthand. It was a great experience over the 4 years I studied at the University of Exeter. I completed a degree in Management with Marketing with Industrial Experience, which included an Industrial Placement year during the third year.

This structure allowed for unparalleled experience in the professional working environment whilst teaching the theory of business during the academic studies. There was a wide breadth of subjects allowing for business students to cater their degree to their interests and passions as they moved through their degree.

The campus and setting of the university was great as you are a 20 minute walk from the centre of the city, where there is a wide range of bars, clubs and activities that you can do.

I am currently a final year marketing and management student at the University of Exeter. My time studying this degree has been an extremely fruitful experience. The lectures and seminars are spaced out very well allowing students like myself to create and plan their course of action in an organised manner. The spaced out timetable also allows students to participate in extra curricular activities which are in abundance in the university campus. Throughout my three years I have been provided with the oppurtunity to take part in several societies and sports clubs which has helped me improve on several of my interpersonal and leadership skills and at the same time make some new peers. The University of Exeter furthermore, is a very close community which makes it easier for new students to easily interact and make peers with people having common interests. Additionally, the staff abd the lecturers are extremely knowegable and supportive and provide a holisitc education experience . The lecturers also help to guide to students regarding any doubts, career advise and even support regarding mental health issues which are often common for new students beginning their university venture. The university of Exeter careerzone also provides a wonderful platform in order to assist in finding both part-time and full-time jobs.

To be very honest with you, I cannot say I love this university.

It does not mean that they have a poor quality of facilities or teaching. Of course, this is life, so it is impossible to appreciate everything, so I have several things that I do not like such as timetables. Since the timetable system has just changed, there are quite a few technical issues happening to many students, which is inconvenient. However, the technical support staff has been working so hard to manage the problems. I can tell that because their in-person supports were helpful when I faced some technical issues.

To reflect on my review title, I have a lot of opportunities to take a careful look at myself.
I am an international student from Japan. Although English is not my second language, I believe that my English is understandable. Moreover, I have nice communication skills, hence it is not difficult to make friends no matter where I am in. Nevertheless, being an international student living in the countryside of the UK separated from my family gives me a lot of time to consider who I am.

Sometimes, it hurts me because I am more likely to be able to see weak parts of myself. This is not a bad thing as I consider this a benefit; I have great opportunities to know myself better than before, and I embrace it and take quick actions to improve myself.

Furthermore, the population of students from Japan is small at this university Thus, I can push myself to get to feel at home in this country.

The location of The university is amazing. It is full of Greenery and is stress-relieving. The professors do not only provide theoretical knowledge but also provide practical knowledge. They are very approachable.
