Overall, Cranfield University is an Institution with a difference. Her uniqueness comprises of but not limited to a PG University only, core and specific focus on key drivers of the now and future world in Aeronautics, Water, Waste, Energy, Oil and Gas, Subsea, and management but with that base of historical fundamentals, and seasoned professors that drive the required change. The environment and location is perfect for any type of persons that wishes to study either part-time or full-time (on or off campus)
As a dynamic Institution, admission to The University is not limited to what your 1st degree was but gives applicants the opportunity to engage in a new career offered in the university with knowledge from your first degree. Although it’s a huge leap but the professors are there to help secure a balance and application to achieving the student’ dream career.
Following the high level of research ongoing in the university, to be honest, 1year is not enough to complete the programme. I will recommend an extra 6 months for completion of a master’s degree or scrap the master’s degree and leave the Masters of Research (MRes), which is currently a two-year programme in the university. This will give student the opportunity to work towards a PhD if they decide to in future. The absence of Under Graduate is great as it helps keep the University’s reputation.
Great Libraries with online access to over millions of academic publications but needs improvement in terms of space and workforce for people with needs.
Overall, I will recommend the University to anyone who is ONLY seriously-minded pursuing a life career because it is not a place for jokes 🙂
